Adele just posted an emotional note letting her fans know that she has canceled the remainder of her tour dates set for July 1st and 2nd at the London’s Wembley Stadium.
The 29-year-old singer went to Instagram on Friday, to inform fans as to why she is unable to perform during her final scheduled fshows.
“I don’t even know how to start this. The last two nights at Wembley have been the biggest and best shows of my life. To come home to such a response after so long away doing something I never thought I could pull off but do has blown me away,” Adele wrote. “However, I’ve struggled vocally both nights.”
Adele went on and explained that she damaged her vocal chords and that she was given medical advice to stop performing. She began her tour in the beginning of last year and she says the fact that she cannot finish is something she’s struggling to come to terms with.
She goes on to express how heartbroken she is and that she’s very sorry to all her fans for disappointing them in every way possible, whether it be with their time, their money spent, and the memories that could have occurred with loved ones. Adele also informed fans that their refunds will be available to them if the shows cannot be rescheduled in the future.
She concludes her post with, “I’m sorry. I love you. I’m so sorry. Please forgive me x”
