As rosy as things may seem to be in the lives of the Hadids, there are still some heart-breaking trials being faced by the family, for sure.
Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Yolanda Foster has opened up about the horrible illness that has affected her and her two children, daughter Bella and son Anwar Hadid.
In an emotional post for Bravo, Yolanda shared: “Bella had to give up her lifelong dream of having a professional riding career and a shot at the Olympics due to her severe symptoms and inability to ride. This was the biggest heartbreak of her life and an extremely sensitive subject for her.”
“She is resilient and focused on a new direction – she’s made a name for herself in the modeling industry while she struggles with symptoms of chronic Lyme every day.” she continued. “I have nothing to prove and know that my journey is public due to the job I’ve chosen as a Housewife, but I can’t accept something so delicate as my children’s health being talked about in such a way. It’s one thing when your integrity is doubted, spoken of behind your back, but it strikes another chord when it’s your children. Bella and Anwar were diagnosed at the end of 2013 and have been in extensive holistic treatment ever since.”
Gigi Hadid, who is the only one in her family that doesn’t suffer from the disease has shown some emotions about the issue too. During an appearance on MasterChef Celebrity Showdown earlier this month, the 20 year-old-model shared how her family’s battle with Lyme Disease has affected her life.”
“My mom, sister and brother are all affected by lyme disease. Not enough people know what Lyme disease is and the dangers of being bitten by an insect,” she continued. For that on it’s own is amazing but with [the cash prize of] $25,000, we can help with finding a cure. It can help so much.” Gigi said, fighting back tears.
We wish Bella, Anwar and Yolanda nothing but good health and strength during this trying time.
