NYC has an annual Nigerian Independence Day Parade every year, where over 40,000 people rally up every year to attend. This year, they promised their dedicated attendees that D’Banj would not only be attending but PERFORMING! It was impossible to miss this… D’Banj was essentially their selling point of this years parade.
However, things quickly took a turn for the worst when fans went from excited to angry as the hours in the cold went on, and no D’Banj showed up. Disappointed fans quickly began lashing out at D’Banj. He took no time to shift the blame to the promoters, saying that they used his name without permission, and never said he would attend the parade. He stated he was actually in Washington, DC fighting for the end of poverty. How noble of D’Banj.
Here’s the thing. Duncan Almighty posted a picture of D’Banj in New York City, and the promoters he claimed falsely used his name fired right back.
Saying, DBanj is around but he’s acting up. So…who’s to blame? The promoters or DBanj? Or was DBanj just not feeling the amount of money they were offering and decided he’d rather be taking selfies and chilling with his kokolets instead of performing Omini in the cold?
DBanj was in fact in DC on Friday at the World Bank according to credible sources at the World Bank, but after only being offered 10K by NYC promoters it seems like he wasn’t feeling it.
However, he was fully aware he was supposed to be in NYC because he told friends in DC upon arrival that he had to leave on Friday so he could perform on Saturday in NYC.
*Sips tea* y’all still not signing contracts because that’s the only reason this could go down.
What’s really good DBanj?
