Actress Michelle Rodriguez might be calling it quits from the “The Fast and the Furious” film franchise. Earlier this week, Michelle posted on Instagram commenting on why she is willing to walk away from a franchise that has kept her gainfully employed for more than 15 years.
Before adding her comments, Michelle posted photos from her time on set to celebrate the eighth movie’s release of the billion-dollar series “The Fate Of The Furious”.
“F8 is out digitally today, I hope they decide to show some love to the women of the franchise on the next one. Or I just might have to say goodbye to a loved franchise. It’s been a good ride & Im grateful for the opportunity the fans & studio have provided over the years,” Rodriguez wrote.
The post did not go into full detail as to which female roles were not being used enough in the series but it did shed some light on how women are treated in Hollywood movies as big as this franchise. Even though a cast is not yet confirmed, there are still two more films in the series that are in development right now. This would round the film series to a total of 10 movies from this franchise.
Do you think Michelle Rodriguez should stay and continue to make big money or quit and keep her integrity?
