Pinstripes recently launched their Spring Menu and invited a few DC Influencers’ to see what it was all about. I was completely sold when I heard free food and bowling, so of course I was in attendance.
Upon arrival, influencers were greeted with complimentary refreshments and then escorted to a private section, that included Bocce’ lanes! It wasn’t long before several dishes were introduced to us including the following:
- Farmer’s Market Salad
- Burrata Caprese
- Filet Mignon
- Not Your Mom’s Flatbread
- PB & J with a spoon
I will be completely honest with you, I underestimated these dishes upon hearing their names. However, after one bite, I was indeed that awkward person going up for seconds because it was just THAT GOOD. Anyone, who knows me knows I am NOT into salads or green foods in general… but after experiencing the Pinstripes “Farmer’s Market Salad”, my mind has changes. The “Farmer’s Market Salad” and “Burrata Caprese” paired together was absolutely delicious and extremely refreshing.
This was followed by the “Not Your Mom’s Flatbread” which was surprisingly SO GOOD! Who knew that House-made flatbread dough smothered in chunky peanut butter and raspberry preserves with Fontinella and mozzarella cheese. Baked in Pinstripes’ wood-burning oven until golden and melted. Topped with fresh arugula, roasted peanuts, slices of Fresno peppers and fresh raspberries — COMBINED — would actually pair so well together? Listen, definitely do not knock it before you try it.
Lastly, their was the made to perfection Filet Mignon which was followed by desert, PB & J with a spoon. Before you ask, no it was not peanut butter and jelly on a spoon. The desert is actually, house-made peanut butter gelato served with Pinstripes’ signature grape sorbet garnished with pound cake and salted peanut brittle. Which was, yummmm.

FARMER’S MARKET SALAD: Fresh spinach and baby kale tossed in our house-made sherry tarragon vinaigrette. Topped with roasted carrots, marinated figs, roasted corn, Humboldt fog cheese, fresh raspberries, multi-grain blend and spiced pecans.
o BURRATA CAPRESE: Heirloom tomatoes, fresh basil and burrata cheese served with an heirloom tomato relish. Drizzled with pesto-infused oil and balsamic glaze.
o FILET MIGNON with an espresso crust. Served with creamy polenta and calabrese broccolini with a peppercorn brandy cream sauce.
And from the special salty & sweet Peanut Putter & Jelly Pairing Menu, launching on Monday 4/2:
