Since 1972, no women has ever been on the Billboard Hot 100’s Top Five, until now. With the launch of DJ Khaled’s hit “Wild Thoughts” featuring Rihanna and Bryson Tiller, the song landed at Number 4 on the Billboard Hot 100’s chart. Singer Rihanna is the first woman to break the streak and rank in the top five after a 12-week break. The song “Wild Thoughts” is also the 31st song of Rihanna’s to break into the Top 10 Billboard’s Hot 100’s list.
Previously on April 8th, Taylor Swift’s track with Zayn called “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” charted on the list at Number 3 after peaking at Number 2. The 12-week break between singers Rihanna and Taylor Swift is the longest gap that no solo women have charted in the top five in about 35 years.
Which female artist do you think will be next to land on the Billboard’s Hot 100 Top 5 List or do you think there will be another women-less drought on the list?
