Raro Lae recently caught up with star acctress Taraji P. Henson and director Adam Shankman at the “What Men Want” carpet movie premiere in Washington, DC and they dropped some serious gems and exclusive insight.
Taraji P. Henson spoke about her mastering popular African dance, Gwara Gwara (see for yourself!), and her perspective on the African people she met, as well as her experience in Africa. Additionally, she spoke of how she tackled the “Boy’s Club” in the professional industry, and how she tackled the beast!
I knew I had to know my worth, and I had to prove it. See when you know your worth, it’s easy for you to walk away.– Taraji P. Henson on The Raro Lae Show
Taraji isn’t the only one we caught up with however. Raro Lae also spoke to What Men Want director, Adam Shankman who has 20 years + experience in the industry — She’s All That, Scream 2, The Wedding Planner, A Walk to Remember — to name a few. Adam Shankman spoke of his beginning which started with Choreography Director in major films, then went on to transition into Film Directing. Get this, film directing was not apart of the plan. If that’s not inspirational, I don’t know what is! You have to listen to him describe his journey. Adam also spoke of what he wants people to take away from What Men Want and it’s perfect.
